2026 Comprehensive Income Tax Refund Inquiry and Application
What is Comprehensive Income Tax Refund?
It means getting back the difference if the tax you paid in the previous year is greater than the actual tax calculated. Freelancers, part-timers, and those with multiple jobs who pay 3.3% withholding tax have a high chance of receiving a refund.
When is it paid?
If you finish reporting between May 1st and 31st, the refund will be deposited into your account by the local tax office between late June and early July.
Precautions
- Beware of smishing messages impersonating the National Tax Service.
- It is safest to check directly through the official Hometax or Sontax app.
- You can also check for hidden refunds from the past 5 years.
👤 Eligibility
Those who have comprehensive income for 2025 and have paid more taxes than the determined tax amount (freelancers, part-timers, etc.)
📝 How to Apply
